By downloading, accessing, or using Syllabae ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Syllabae is a mobile application that allows users to upload course syllabi and uses artificial intelligence to extract tasks, assignments, exams, and readings. The App provides calendar views and push notification reminders to help users stay organized.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or user accounts
- Upload malicious files or content
- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
5. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of all syllabi and documents you upload to the App. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process your content for the purpose of extracting tasks and providing the service. We do not claim ownership of your uploaded materials.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers both free and paid subscription tiers:
- Free tier: Limited to 2 syllabi uploads
- Pro tier: Unlimited syllabi uploads and additional features
Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing cycles are governed by Apple's terms. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings.
7. AI-Generated Content
The App uses artificial intelligence to extract tasks from your syllabi. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated extractions may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted tasks. We are not liable for missed deadlines or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lucker Dogs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or academic performance, arising from your use of the App.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
